The script* reads the system time
settings of your computer, so it should work correctly regardless
of your time zone. Of course, if your computer system time is
incorrect, the times displayed below will also be incorrect.
There are many free utilities that can easily and quickly
synchronize your computer system clock to online atomic clocks.

GMT is sometimes confused with
Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For most purposes, the two
times are the same. Technically, there is a difference. UTC is
based on atomic clocks, which are very constant. GMT is based on
the Earth's rotation, which is not constant. To keep GMT and UTC
in synch, leap seconds are sometimes added to, or subtracted from, a year. It depends on whether Earth is "spinning up" or "spinning down." In the short term, either can happen.
